Preliminary tracking of Malay manuscripts in the context of Terengganu found that there are 4 institutions that have storage of a number of Malay manuscripts, namely the palace, Terengganu state museum, Terengganu State Branch National Archives and Terengganu State Public Library besides manuscripts in the personal storage of certain individuals. Meanwhile, in the context of the state of Brunei, there are at least two institutions that store this treasure, namely the National Museum of Brunei and Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka Berunei. All these institutions will be visited in an effort to collect as many copies of the scripts of Malay scholars to be documented and digitized. This project to digitize the manuscripts of the collection of the Terengganu Palace and the Sultanate of Brunei has its own role in the effort to preserve the treasures of the manuscripts of past Malay scholars in digital form from extinction.
